Week 3: Ranking The Rankers — I’m Sensing A Pattern

Is anybody actually “good” at fantasy football? Ranking the Rankers is an ongoing experiment to try to answer this question. Each week 12 fantasy experts play each other in head-to-head matchups, based on their weekly player rankings. They also play a dim-witted computer algorithm named DAMO (Dumb-Ass Machine Orderer). For the details of how it all works, read this post.

Weekly Thoughts
I guess the experiment isn’t going to be can DAMO compete with the best human rankers; it’s going to be can DAMO win a single matchup.  Chris Harris is the big winner this week, bringing his record on the season to 34-2.  Impressive, but it’s still way too early to start drawing any conclusions.

All Matchup Scores
Cell (x, y) is the number of points ranker x scored against ranker y in their matchup. Bold denotes a winning score for ranker x.
