Week 11: Ranking the Ranks — Shorting the Proven Vets … Or Not

Is anybody actually “good” at fantasy football? Ranking the Rankers is an ongoing experiment to try to answer this question. Each week 12 fantasy experts play each other in head-to-head matchups, based on their weekly player rankings. They also play a dim-witted computer algorithm named DAMO (Dumb-Ass Machine Orderer). For the details of how it all works, read this post.

Weekly Thoughts
The key to fantasy a high ranking this week was shorting the proven vets, particularly Adrian Peterson and AJ Green who both had pedestrian weeks.  Then again old standbys like Ben Roethlisberger, LeSean McCoy, and Marshawn Lynch all had big weeks.  So it wasn’t so much shorting the proven vets, it was shorting the right proven vets.  And there you have it — the key to fantasy football — set your line with the right players.

All Matchup Scores
